The Groom Garage Terms and Conditions document outlines the key policies, responsibilities, and liabilities related to grooming services provided by the business.
Here's a summary of the main points:
1. Pet Welfare
- The welfare of your pet is a priority. If your pet is unable to stand, is too stressed, or presents any health concerns, Groom Garage may be unable to provide grooming services. The owners will always be informed of such situations.
- Owners are responsible for ensuring their pets are well enough to be groomed. Grooming elderly or unwell dogs is at the owner’s risk, and Groom Garage is not liable for any issues arising in such cases.
2. Health and Liability
- Grooming sessions may reveal skin, health, or mobility issues. Groom Garage is not liable for any health issues discovered during grooming.
- In case a pet falls ill while under care, Groom Garage may contact a vet, with owners liable for any associated costs unless Groom Garage is proven to be solely responsible.
3. Client Registration and Information
- All clients must complete a Client Waiver form during their first appointment. By filling out this form, clients agree to Groom Garage's terms and conditions.
- Owners must update their information if there are any changes to ensure optimal service.
- Information is stored according to GDPR regulations, and clients have access to it upon request. Groom Garage may contact clients for marketing purposes, appointment confirmations, and may use images/videos of pets for promotional purposes unless opted out by the owner.
4. Deposits and Cancellations
- New clients must pay a £10 deposit to secure their appointment, which will be deducted from the final total after services.
- A 24-hour cancellation policy is in place. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment will result in the forfeiture of the deposit.
- Current clients who cancel late will be required to pay a £20 deposit for their next appointment.
- If a client arrives more than 15 minutes late, the appointment is considered a "no-show," and the deposit will be forfeited.
5. Late Pet Collection Fees
- If a pet is collected more than 30 minutes after the scheduled time, a £10 fee per 30 minutes will apply.
6. Vaccinations, Fleas, and Worming
- Pet owners are responsible for ensuring their pets are up-to-date on vaccinations and flea/worm treatments. Groom Garage is not liable for any illnesses or parasites after the grooming session.
- If a pet has fleas, a £10 fee will be charged to treat the pet with flea shampoo and to sanitise the salon. It is recommended to treat the pet's home and other animals as well.
7. Payment Methods
- Payments can be made via cash and major credit/ debit cards, but American Express (Amex) is not accepted.
These terms ensure that both the business and clients have a clear understanding of their responsibilities and the procedures for ensuring the best care for pets during grooming appointments.
